STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN: In Episode 6 of Apple TV’s ‘Constellation’, a significant narrative shift unfolds.

In the initial episodes, viewers witnessed Jo Ericsson (Noomi Rapace) returning to Earth with the dead body of her colleague Paul Lancaster (William Catlett), who died during the ISS collision.
While the series previously hinted at alternate realities, it only scratched the surface of this concept. However, the latest episode thoroughly explores another reality, reshaping the story again.
Jo Ericsson dies on ISS in an alternate reality in ‘Constellation’

In Episode 6, the narrative shifts back to the ISS on the day of the collision. However, in this alternate reality, Jo Ericsson meets a tragic end. As the impact occurs, Jo is thrown against the glass and is presumed dead.
After his colleagues detach from the ISS to go back to Earth, Paul is left with the daunting task of saving himself. He switches the batteries to Soyuz 1 and initiates the docking process.

However, he encounters eerie occurrences on the ISS when his gadget captures Jo’s voice.
Spooked by this incident, Paul convinces mission control that bringing Jo’s body back to Earth is impractical. As a result, he removes her from the Soyuz and places her on ISS to float for eternity.
Paul Lancaster struggles with the aftermath of the ISS accident
Upon returning to Earth, Paul experiences visions of Jo at various points, which are glimpses into another reality.
His decision to leave Jo’s body in space raises doubts about his judgment, and he also faces resentment from Alice (Davina Coleman and Rosie Coleman), who struggles to accept the reality of her mother’s death.
Recalling the bizarre occurrences aboard the ISS, Paul is now consumed by guilt and feels that Jo might yet be alive. His frustration and remorse are so intense that he repeatedly directs his anger towards his daughter Wendy Lancaster (Sadie Sweet), demanding that she provide comfort to Alice.
Meanwhile, Paul finds several events of his life missing and altered upon his return to Earth. While he struggles to find answers, we wonder about the fate of Jo and Paul who are trapped in wrong realities.
