LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the fifth episode of ‘The Voice’ Season 25, contestant Emma Valentine who is originally from Santa Cruz, California, took over the stage to perform the classic hit ‘Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)’ by Edison Lighthouse.

Despite her beautiful voice, none of the coaches, including Reba McEntire, John Legend, Dan + Shay, and Chance the Rapper, turned their chairs for her.

After Emma’s Blind Audition, Reba discussed her criteria for selecting artists to join her team, emphasizing that she was in search of a particular type of talent. Unfortunately, these specific criteria resulted in not turning her chair for Emma.

On the other hand, Dan complimented Emma’s vibrato but noted some pitch problems in her performance. In a confessional, Dan also mentioned that Emma has great potential, but she should focus on improving her vocal skills.

In the past, Emma Valentine participated in ‘American Idol’ Season 18. Despite her incredible vocal abilities and captivating stage presence, Emma fell short of claiming the coveted title.

Just Sam emerged victorious, securing the crown as the winner of the season. Meanwhile, Arthur Gunn, another immensely talented individual, achieved the honorable position of runner-up.

Though Emma did not achieve her ultimate goal of winning ‘American Idol,’ her participation in the competition undoubtedly served as a valuable experience that showcased her immense passion for music and further fueled her determination to succeed in the industry.

Emma spilled the beans on her experience on Instagram as well. “so THANKFUL to get to create music with my fam, for adventures it has brought me & for the people i’ve met through this shared passion!! 💫✨,” she started by writing.

Emma further added, “this past year i had an unexpected opportunity to combine ALL 3 of these gifts into one AMAZING experience on American Idol!! ✨singing for @katyperry, @lionelrichie & @lukebryan was such an honor! (totally crazy like what!?!) 💫.”

“i will ALWAYS treasure sharing the journey with my fam bam : ) especially having my dad accompany me!! ✨ not sure if my audition will be aired & i can’t say if i got that golden ticket 💫 but tune in this sunday to see all my amazing gifted friends!! ✨⚡️💫,” she concluded. 

‘The Voice’ Season 25 airs on NBC at 8 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The episodes will be available on Peacock on demand the next day. The streaming site also includes entire episodes from the show’s prior seasons.
