Bomas of Kenya descended into chaos earlier Friday after goons attacked activist Morara Kebaso during a public participation forum on the special motion seeking to remove Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua from office through impeachment.
The event, held to gather public views from constituencies in Nairobi County, was marked by violence and disorder, which led to the disruption of proceedings.
Kebaso, a public figure attempting to participate in the event, was met with aggression as he arrived at the venue.
The situation escalated when chairs and other objects were hurled at him by unidentified individuals.
The attackers violently chased Kebaso out of the venue, triggering widespread panic.
Security personnel struggled to regain control of the scene as participants scrambled for safety.
The Master of Ceremonies, sensing the tension, intervened and urged the agitated crowd to stop the violence.
