The race against the clock begins as the French action movie ‘The Wages of Fear’ aka ‘Le salaire de la peur’ directed by Julien Leclercq is all set to premiere on Netflix on Friday, March 29, 2024.

What is the plot of ‘The Wages of Fear’ aka ‘Le salaire de la peur’?

In the vast desert, adjacent to a refugee camp, an oil well erupts in flames, posing an imminent threat to the local population.

The company overseeing the well responds urgently, realizing that the sole solution is to detonate the well with nitroglycerin within 24 hours.

To execute this risky plan, a formidable team is dispatched 800km away, transporting 200kg of explosives in two trucks for a handsome sum.

With less than 20 hours on the clock, the team faces the daunting challenge of traversing hostile zones controlled by armed rebels, navigating minefields, and maneuvering two trucks laden with nitroglycerin over rugged terrain.

The official synopsis reads, “In order to prevent a deadly explosion, an illicit crack team has 24 hours to drive two truckloads of nitroglycerine across a desert laden with danger.”
