The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will deploy a scuba unit (forensic unit) and a detection dog unit (K9) to the location where the body of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah, 25, was found in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor, this morning.

Hulu Selangor District Deputy Chief of Police, Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus when contacted by Bernama said that the process of searching for evidence will begin at around 9am in the ditch area near the palm oil plantation.

“We will look for his (victim’s) smartphone as well as a necklace and some other items that are believed to be used as evidence and clues to the case,” he said.

Yesterday, Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan informed that Nur Farah Kartini, who was reported missing last Wednesday, was found dead in a palm oil plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor at 6pm.

The victim who hails from Miri, Sarawak is a former student of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) and works with a rental car company in Tanjung Malim, Perak, reported missing after delivering a rental car to a customer.

Earlier, a 26-year-old police officer with the rank of lance corporal was remanded for a week starting today to assist in the investigation into the murder of Nur Farah Kartini. – July 17, 2024
