Starring Melissa Benoist, Natasha Behnam, Christina Elmore, Brandon Scott, and Carla Gugino in key roles, the series premiered with two episodes on Thursday, March 14, and will continue with weekly releases until its finale on May 9.
Following the introduction of the central characters and their environment in the pilot episode, the subsequent episode delves deeper into their challenges as they strive to uncover breaking stories while grappling with their insecurities.

Arriving in Iowa to cover the campaign, Sadie McCarthy Melissa Benoist) is overcome with fear upon encountering Felicity Walker (Hettienne Park) at the hotel.
Memories come rushing back from three years ago when Sadie covered Walker, a formidable contender for the presidency.

However, Walker’s defeat in the elections not only derailed her career but also resulted in Sadie’s career-defining front-page story being rendered meaningless. Furthermore, her public meltdown became fodder for ridicule.
As Walker resurfaces in the campaign scene, Sadie questions her motives and desires to pursue the story, despite being advised that Walker is merely seeking relevance while extending support to Caroline Bennett (Joanna Gleason), a controversial presidential candidate.

After the campaign results and a revealing conversation with Kimberlyn Kendrick (Christina Elmore), Sadie reaches a startling revelation about Walker.
Determined to uncover the truth, she confronts Malcolm (Brandon Scott), questioning whether Walker is preparing for another presidential run and if he departed Caroline’s employment to join Walker’s team. Malcolm’s silence serves as confirmation of her suspicions.
Later, at a restaurant, Sadie spots Walker dining alone and seizes the opportunity to approach her. Requesting an on-the-record confirmation of her suspicions, Sadie faces initial resistance from Walker.
Undeterred, Sadie presents compelling evidence supporting her claims and mentions her intent to publish the story regardless of Walker’s cooperation. Eventually, Walker relents, agreeing to the interview.
The episode concludes with Sadie writing the story of Walker entering the Presidential race when someone knocks on her door and leaves a mysterious package for her.
