STARKVILLE, MISSISSIPPI: ‘American Idol’ Season 22 contestant Jennifer Jeffries is a singer and songwriter who debuted her musical career at a young age.
Jennifer turned 17 on January 10 and is ready to make an appearance on the ABC show. She released her first original song, ‘Love You from a Distance’, in 2021 when she was just 15 years old.

She grew up in Starkville and currently resides with her father Keith Jeffries and mother, Sheila Oswalt Jeffries. She studied at a local school in her hometown. The 17-year-old was also on her high school’s softball team.
Jennifer’s mother, Sheila reflected on her second year of playing softball in a Facebook post. She shared a sweet photo with Jennifer in her school team’s jersey.
Additionally, Jennifer received her driver’s license in 2023. The ABC show contestant belongs to a large family with around seven siblings.
She is the youngest in the Jeffries clan and her mother took a sigh of relief after Jennifer learned driving noting, “She’s the caboose—that means we are done teaching children how to drive!!! ✅”

She is an athlete and also plays volleyball. Jennifer has dedicated her social media account to promoting her new songs. She also often drops videos of herself singing renditions.
She has released multiple hit songs since 2021. Besides singing and songwriting, Jennifer can also play piano and guitar. She has also performed at a few restaurants.

She will perform in front of ABC show judges, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry in week 3 of the auditions.
However, Jennifer expressed her excitement about her upcoming gig and shared a sweet photo of herself. In the pic, Jennifer looked stunning in a pink top paired with blue jeans. She flaunted a sweet smile as she held a guitar in her hands.
Alongside the photo, Jennifer teased, “So excited to announce that I auditioned for @americanidol !! Tune in on February 18 on @abcnetwork to find out if I got the golden ticket!?!?”

‘American Idol’ Season 22 contestant Jennifer Jeffries has been rumored to reach the semi-final of the singing competition.
According to the reports, the ABC show contestant allegedly performed ”Northern Attitude” by Noah Kahan during her semi-final performance.
Additionally, Jennifer is speculated to receive mentorship from famous rapper Jelly Roll and would be assigned to his group. The ABC show contestant reportedly performed ‘Bruises’ by Lewis Capaldi during her group performance.
