New York City, New York (release): Grammy-award honoree, Songwriters Hall of Fame member, and BBC Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Don McLean has announced his next studio album, ‘American Boys’, which will be released on May 17 by BFD/Audium Nashville and distributed through The Orchard.

Paying tribute to his rock and roll heroes, McLean’s new single ‘Home Free’ honors those who paved the way. With 13 tracks, ‘American Boys’ is exactly what every Don McLean fan has been waiting for.

“This is an album of all new songs,” shares McLean. “The title track, ‘American Boys’,  which features the guys from ‘Home Free’, is a fun song about the boys who invented rock and roll. America invented this music. Only America invented this music.”
